Alright I have to admit. I have a STRONG bias to the St. Louis Cardinals. I was born in Springfield, MO and have been an avid Cardinals fan since I can remember first watching baseball. Last year the Cards beat the Tigers in 5 games to claim the World Series and this year is looking to be another promising year for the Cards. Can they do it again? Well lets put it this way…they have a MUCH better chance than the Cubs do. Here’s a clip from an article in the .

The catalyst for the Cardinals, as he has been each year since breaking into the league in 2001, remains Albert Pujols. Perhaps the most complete hitter in the game, Pujols is coming off yet another stellar campaign in 2006, hitting .331 with career highs in home runs (49) and RBI (137). He played in a career- low 143 games because of injury, and was the runner-up for the National League MVP to Phillies’ budding star Ryan Howard. Pitchers across the league can only hope the MVP slight hasn’t made Pujols even hungrier in ’07.

Can’t wait.
